Nyemike Okonkwo

Nyemike is a native Texan who was born and raised in the north Dallas suburb of Plano, which is where he and his family now reside. After earning a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies from The University of Texas at Dallas, Nyemike taught elementary school math but always had thoughts of pursuing a career in higher education. Reflecting on his experience as an undergraduate and thinking of the needs of today’s student, Nyemike is excited to enhance his career in higher education and become an integral part of the support system for every Mustang. He is thrilled to share the endless possibilities of SMU’s Dedman College with prospective students and their families.
