Annie Bures

Dedman College of Humanities and Sciences

Annie was born and raised in Pasadena, California before moving to Dallas to attend SMU. While a student at SMU, Annie worked as a tour guide in the Office of Undergraduate Admission in addition to her participation in a sorority, Panhellenic Council, and SMU’s first female a cappella choir. Miss Bures graduated from Dedman College of Humanities and Sciences in 2012 with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Elementary Education.

Following graduation, Annie worked in development at the George W. Bush Presidential Center on SMU’s campus. When Annie is not meeting with prospective students and parents you can find her cheering on the Mustang football team at Ford Stadium. Her favorite SMU tradition is the mascot, Peruna – a Shetland pony known to be the deadliest mascot in NCAA history. She is thrilled to be back at SMU recruiting students for Dedman College.
