Academic Development of Student-Athletes

Lisa Rawlins

Director / Lead Football Academic Counselor

Lisa arrived on the hilltop in the Fall of 2010 when the Center for the Academic Development of Student-Athletes (ADSA) was first developed. As Director of ADSA, she oversees the academic support services for Football, Men’s Basketball, and Women’s Basketball and is the lead Academic Counselor for Football.

Before coming to SMU, Lisa was at the University of Central Florida. Prior to that, she came from The University of Oklahoma where she did her masters and a graduate assistantship in athletics. She did her undergraduate at Fresno State. Lisa played college basketball in Canada before transferring to Fresno State as an Equestrian student-athlete. As a former student-athlete, pursuing a career in academics was her top priority and she’s grateful to be at SMU and for the resources the department is able to provide.

Lisa is married to Reggie Rawlins who was a Men’s Basketball letterwinner at Sam Houston State. Both love SMU Football and their English Bulldogs, Sid and Elroy.
