"Empowering students to make more meaningful choices."

As part of the General Education Curriculum, the wellness requirement recognizes that education should also serve to enhance the social, physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of students at SMU. Two Wellness classes are required for all students to graduate. Wellness 1101 (Choices 1) and Wellness 2000 level classes (Choices 2) are part of the SMU curriculum for all students.

The SMU Wellness program challenges students to think critically about who they are and the decisions they are making. The Wellness department offers a variety of classes to help students reach their highest potential in every area of life.
