Theory on the Web was developed over a 3 1/2 year period. It began as a simple way to store and edit my teaching notes, but grew and developed into a on-line text in music theory -- and more. Theory on the Web is an On-line, ìhypertextî course designed for beginners through music professionals for use in learning, reviewing, and refreshing their knowledge of the ìgrammarî of music, which is often referred to as ìmusic theory.î Written for people approximately 9th grade (14 years old) and older in mind, Theory on the Web presents the fundamentals of music theory through basic chromatic harmonic techniques in a structured, simple, and practical manner.
