Parking on Campus  

Individuals participating in the Doctor of Ministry programs may request the temporary parking fees mentioned below. Parking is available in the Meadows Museum Parking Garage, see map for location.

Registering for Parking

  • Payment for parking is made at the Park N' Pony Office . Located in Hughes Trigg Student Center on the main floor, the Park N' Pony office can be contacted weekdays from 8:30 to 4:30 by calling 214-768-7669 or 214-768-7275. You may also contact them by email at parking@smu.edu.
  • In certain cases, a person not officially registered to park on campus may be issued a temporary permit. This permit must be displayed properly at all times while parked on campus.  
  • A student must have a driver's license and license plate number to register. Parking and ID Card Services staff will issue the appropriate permit. The  permit must be either affixed to the outside of the rear windshield of the vehicle, driver's side in the lower portion of the glass in such a manner that the identifying number is visible and legible.    
  • Giving false information to register a vehicle (i.e. incorrect vehicle owner) is a violation of University policy and may result in the violator being suspended from parking anywhere on the campus for the remainder of the academic year.

2006 - 07 Student Parking Rates:

Full-time (more than 9 credit hours)
Full year-$220
Fall Semester Only - $110
(Available to graduating seniors only at Park 'N Pony Office)
Spring Semester-$110
 
Part-time (9 or fewer credit hours)
Full year-$110
Fall Semester Only - $55
(Available to graduating seniors only at Park 'N Pony Office)
Spring Semester-$55

Evening - $55 per semester

Summer Only -$50 (May - August)

Employee Parking Rates:

       Faculty/Staff - $25 per month

       Contract employees - $25 per month

Temporary Permits:

        $40 per month; $10 per week, $2 per day


Refund Policy - Parking Fees
Parking fees will be refunded if a request is made within the first thirty (30) calendar days of the beginning of a semester.
