Perkins School of Theology  ̶  Educating Leaders for the 21st Century

In September 2007, Perkins began its most ambitious building program since the school’s founding.  Plans for the $13 million project include extensive renovation of Kirby and Selecman Halls, built in the early 1950s, and construction of a new building.

The new 20,000-square-foot facility, to be named in honor of Elizabeth Perkins Prothro, will be built at the southern end of the Theology School quadrangle, just north of Highland Park United Methodist Church. It will house facilities for education and community uses, including an auditorium for public events, plus spaces for dining services, student computer lab, a dedicated student commons, preaching lab, classrooms, seminar rooms, and lecture halls. When completed, the buildings will be fully accessible, provide more classrooms, and offer updated technology. The redesigned building complex will include two cloistered spaces for outdoor activities.

The official groundbreaking took place on September 7, 2007.

Be a part of this exciting venture and help Perkins continue educating Christian leaders for the 21st century by donating to the building campaign. Donations may be made online or by mail to:
