Associate Professor Jill H. Allor, Department Chair
Presenting
a broad range of expertise and specialization in both teaching
and research, the faculty of the Department of Teaching and Learning offers students a comprehensive curriculum
of theory, research, cross-disciplinary studies, and practicum. The faculty strives for teaching excellence, academic rigor,
intellectual curiosity, and accountability.
The Department's professional education programs are of a rich, substantive nature that serves the needs of both aspiring teachers and career educators. Programs range from an undergraduate curriculum designed for State teacher certification to graduate degree and certification programs to enrichment opportunities approved by SBEC or other educational agencies. In addition, a variety of noncredit workshops and seminars address issues of social and scholarly significance that are both useful in instructional delivery and applicable to required professional-development hours.
