Sandy Berger

Sandy Berger served as President Clinton's National Security Advisor. In that role, he formulated foreign policy initiatives necessary to preserve a climate where American business interests could flourish. Because of his vast experience on the international stage, Berger earned worldwide respect for his knowledge of the struggles facing Russia, the changing face of Europe and the politically unsettled Middle East.

Before joining the Clinton Administration, Berger served as a deputy director in the U.S. Department of State. He also worked as a special assistant to a number of U.S. congressmen, and was a partner in a Washington law firm.

Berger graduated from Cornell University and Harvard Law School.
