Nonprofit Internships in Taos, New Mexico
This 6-hour class offers students opportunities to develop and apply business and professional communication skills in a not-for-profit environment. The course is designed to help students develop professional writing, speaking, interpersonal and intercultural communication skills that pertain specifically to organizations that ser e culturally and linguistically diverse populations. Each student will work with an organization to develop a comprehensive communication plan as well as other materials that may be needed by the agency. Students will then combine these materials into a portfolio and will summarize their work in an oral presentation at the end of the semester.
NOTE: This class will meet on the main campus from Monday, May 19 - Wednesday, May 28 from 1:00 - 5:00 P.M. in ULEE 229 prior to departing for Taos.
