Juanita Craft
During the civil rights movement, many African American women
helped put an end to segregation in the United States. In Dallas, Juanita Craft
forced the public to see how the inhumanity of segregation. A grassroots civil
rights activist, Craft was a leader in the Youth Council of the NAACP's Dallas
Chapter. Ms. Frear will discuss Craft's public career and her influence in
desegregating Dallas's public accommodations.
