Committee Chair & Vice-Chair

Responsibilities of Senate Chairs are as follows:

1. Chairs are required to attend all respective Senate committee meetings, all retreats and required committee meetings;
2. Chairs are responsible for overseeing the fulfillment of his/her committee’s objectives outlined by the By-Laws, the Student Body President and the Chief of Staff.  He or she must report all committee action to the Chief of Staff.
3. Chairs are required to attend all cabinet meetings as designated.
4. Chairs are required to meet periodically with the Chief of Staff, as the Chief of Staff deems necessary.

• Currently enrolled as a full-time student (12+ hours), a co-op program, or have the minimum number of hours to graduate
• Minimum SMU GPA of 2.5
