Sociology Club Achievements
 

Last Fall (2006) Sociology Club formally applied for organizational status at SMU. The club also elected new officers. As part of membership drive, officers created and sold Sociology Club T-shirts. Members raised $400 for Family Place.  The Family Place provides emergency shelter, food, counseling and case   management services to families who have experienced domestic abuse.

 

 

 

Spring 2006 Sociology Department graduated 19 sociology majors, and Markets and Culture 15 majors.

 

Anne Lincoln joins the Sociology    Department as Assistant Professor from Fall 2006.

  • Charlotte King was awarded Walter and Helen Watson prize in sociology for 2005-06.
     

  • Kristyn Cobstill was nominated for the SASEA Student Employee of the Year by the Department of Human Resources at SMU.
