DERRICK, Europe

Derrick graduated from SMU in May 2006 with degrees in Finance and French, but before joining the work force he is conducting independent study in Europe as a Richter Scholar. He and Tony, also an SMU graduate, are studying how multinational companies market to different cultures in Europe using theme parks as case studies. Their destinations? EuroDisney and Legolands in Denmark and Germany.

Right now it's all about roaming the city and surveying. The project overall is going great...obviously we've had to make some changes to our methodology because of logistics we realized once we got here...but we've been to Copenhagen, Denmark....Berlin and Munich, Germany....Paris, France....and are currently in London, England. We plan to finish up our trip and research back in Copenhagen, where we have tickets to fly back to the US.
