            In AY2005-2006, sponsors awarded $15,454,165 to SMU for direct and indirect costs of research and sponsored projects.  Amounts in previous years were: $14,675,605 in AY2004-2005; $19,658,689 in AY2003-2004; $13,752,118 in AY2002-2003; $11,010,791 in AY2001-2002; and $11,432,507 in AY1999-2000.

            Agency sources of the $15,454,165 were: Federal, $13,346,356; Corporations, $748,690; Foundations, $1,152,456; State and Local Governments $82,528, and Other, $124,135.

            Dedman College received $9,583,820 in 71 awards; the School of Engineering (SoE) received $3,428,675 in 40 awards; the School of Education and Human Development (SEHD) was awarded $ 1,576,562 in 8 awards; Dedman School of Law received $742,108 in one award and Meadows School of the Arts received $18,000 in two awards.
