Established in 1999, SMU Cox Graduate Rugby Union Football Club brings together graduate students from the Cox School of Business and the Dedman School of Law. The Club also draws on alumni and students from all other graduate schools, as well as faculty and staff of the University.

The highlight of the club's year is its participation in the Fuqua School of Business MBA World Championship at Duke University. In fact, the club was formed around the express need to field a team at this tournament.
