In the event of an emergency at SMU, the University will post the most current information on the homepage and on the general information line at 214-SMU-INFO (214-768-4636). Messages also will be sent to campus phone using voice mail.
In addition, you should contact your building manager immediately for instructions related to your office or classroom.
It is always wise to prepare in advance for emergencies, especially since people frequently are separated from family and friends in times of crisis. "Plan to Survive" provides helpful information for such preparation. Also consult the Homeland Security website.
