SMU vs. Tulane becomes a "Mustang Mardi Gras"

The Boulevard becomes The French Quarter as SMU vs.Tulane offers a celebration of New Orleans September 24. Beads, jazz, and Cajun food will be part of the festivities, which will culminate in the Mustangs-Green Wave match-up at 7 p.m. in Ford Stadium and the halftime presentation of a check to Conference USA for the Katrina Relief Fund benefiting the American Red Cross.

T-shirts with the "Mustang Mardi Gras" logo will be sold for $15 each; all proceeds will benefit the American Red Cross. The shirts will be available for online purchase Monday, September 19, at www.MustangLockerRoom.com. The Mustang Locker Room store in Ford Stadium will have shirts for walk-up purchase on Friday, September 23. Additionally, the shirts will be sold on The Boulevard and at Ford Stadium on game day.

So far, SMU students, alumni, faculty and staff have raised more than $30,000 during the “Three Weeks For Relief” campaign sponsored by the SMU Student Senate.
