Help for Katrina Victims
The SMU community continues to be actively involved in the relief
effort for victims of Hurricane Katrina. SMU President R. Gerald Turner
has created a special task force to coordinate the university's relief efforts.
STUDENT RELIEF EFFORTS

- SMU's Student Senate has launched a "Three Weeks For Relief" campaign to benefit the American Red Cross. Individuals may donate using their Pony Express account, by cash, or by check made out to the SMU Students' Association.
- Checks may be brought to the Comptroller's Office or mailed to Liz Healy, Student Body President, Southern Methodist University, PO Box 750436, Dallas TX 75275-0436.
- Collection jars have been placed throughout campus, including the Student Senate office in the SAC (3rd floor, Hughes-Trigg), sorority and fraternity houses and residence halls. Donations will be accepted on PONY until Sept. 21 but cash donations will be accepted until Friday, Sept. 23.
- Healy will present a check to Conference USA's relief fund from the students of SMU at halftime of the SMU vs. Tulane game on Sept. 24. For more information, Healy may be contacted at

- Panhellenic sorority chapters are collecting supplies for Dallas area shelters. For more

ATHLETICS
