Author Kim Edwards spoke at SMU on Thursday, Oct. 25, about her latest story collection and life as a best-selling author.
The paperback version of Edwards' debut novel, The Memory Keeper's Daughter, became the biggest-selling book of 2006. The book was an outgrowth of a conversation she had with with her pastor about a man who had discovered an unknown sibling while going through family papers.
Ten years ago she published a collection of short stories, The Secrets of a Fire King. The collection is now being re-released with three new stories not included in the first edition.
