The Guildhall Celebrates Commencement
with Game Exhibition
June 16 and 17 marks a celebratory weekend of accomplishment for
students of The Guildhall at SMU, which provides a foundation in
game development. On June 16 The Guildhall will host its fourth
major exhibition of student work with a portfolio show and game
exhibition from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The exhibition will take
place in The Guildhall’s facility at SMU-in-Legacy, 5232 Tennyson
Parkway in Plano.
The
following day, distinguished videogame designer Richard “Lord
British” Garriott, currently an executive producer at NCsoft North
America, will meet with students of The Guildhall and deliver the
commencement address in the O’Donnell Lecture Hall of the Owen
Arts Center on SMU’s campus. Garriott blazed a trail in the
computer gaming industry by co-founding Origin Systems with his
brother and producing one of the most successful, longest-running
game series of all time, Ultima. Commencement begins at
1:00 p.m.
Both events are free and open to the public. For more information
