As with any community, we want to welcome our newest members by introducing them to how we operate. This part of our Web site will help explain some of the administrative and campus life resources that you will find helpful as you prepare to enroll at SMU.

You will get your bearings by participating in the many programs, services, and publications that make up orientation. Not sure which classes are right for you – or even which ones you can take? Your Academic Adviser will steer you in the right direction. Who can help you find funding opportunities? The Office of Financial Aid can help you negotiate payment options or even find grants and scholarships. Where will you live and eat? Who’s responsible for keeping track of all the classes you’ve taken and how well you’ve done in them? The Registrar is one of the most important offices on campus. You’ll be able to see your financial information (and much more) online through Access.SMU. SMU is committed to academic integrity and intellectual honesty. Complete the Academic Honesty Tutorial and Quiz requirement before school starts. The SMU community is part of the Dallas/Fort Worth area that has a lot to explore.

So take a look at these pages and get started mapping out your success at SMU.
