Internship:
Pollock Gallery Curatorial Internship
The Pollock Gallery offers a unique opportunity to an individual with a keen interest in the visual arts. Through the internship program, the Pollock Gallery provides an environment conducive to gaining firsthand knowledge of the operations of a nonprofit university art gallery and the experience necessary to advance in the field. Pollock Gallery interns from past years hold key positions in private galleries, public and private museums, and university galleries.
The Pollock Gallery internship seeks to make a visual arts career more viable to an entry-level professional. Interns are selected by a variety of criteria including past professional experience and academic excellence. The intern works closely with the gallery director in an intensive mentoring relationship. Under the guidance of the director, the intern participates fully in all functions of the gallery.
The internship is a nine-month (mid-August to mid-May) appointment, for approximately 18 hours a week. The stipend is $1000 per month.
