Some MayTerm courses meet SMU General Education Curriculum (GEC) and/or University Curriculum (UC) requirements; refer to tables below. Please check with your advisor if you have any questions.

Please note that MayTerm courses are NOT eligible for CF credit. The University Council on General Education, the faculty body that governs the GEC, has determined that “Cultural Formations” (CF) courses are not appropriate to offer during the intensive MayTerm program (only 11 class days) given their heavy reading and writing requirements.
