Engage with our Hunt Institute for Engineering & Humanity and make an impact in the Dallas community, beginning in your freshman year. Join our Darwin Deason Institute for Cyber Security, and work on protecting against real-world cyber threats. 

An SMU undergraduate degree requires a minimum of 120 credit hours and must include completion of the University’s Common Curriculum, one major and a combination of electives and/or other majors or minors. Certain majors require more than 120 hours to finish the degree.

All SMU Lyle students have access to the unique Deason Innovation Gym (aka the DIG), which provides the tools and space to work on immersion design projects and competitions to accelerate learning, innovation, and leadership.
