The SMU Corporate Counsel Symposium is an annual event organized by the SMU Law Review Association. General Counsel and attorneys from some of the most notable companies in the country attend the all-day event. The day consists of a variety of speeches and panel discussions from attorneys, general counsel, academics, and judges. The speeches cover a wide range of topics, including the most current issues in corporate law. Each year there is a featured luncheon speaker. Past speakers include: the Honorable E. Norman Veasey, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Delaware; Chancellor William Chandler of the Delaware Court of Chancery; the Honorable Drew Moore, former Delaware Supreme Court Justice; the Honorable Harvey J. Goldschmid, Commissioner, Securities and Exchange Commission; and Ambassador Robert Strauss. The symposium is a great opportunity for local attorneys to interact with each other, learn about changes in the current law, and receive CLE credit. Attorneys can receive both general credit and ethics credit. Space is limited each year, so we hope that you will sign-up early and join us for this great event.
