In 1990, the Boards of the Journal of Air Law and Commerce and the Southwestern Law Journal voted to merge the two publications in order to form the SMU Law Review Association. In addition, the official name of the Southwestern Law Journal was changed to the SMU Law Review. The SMULRA now publishes both the Journal of Air Law and Commerce as well as the SMU Law Review. Under this unique structure, both publications benefit from broad exposure to a variety of student backgrounds and perspectives.
