SMU graduate JIM DENT will discuss his new book, Twelve Mighty Orphans (New York: St. Martin’s Press, 2007), which tells the story of the powerhouse teams of the Fort Worth Masonic Home, which dominated high school football in Texas in the 1930’s and 1940’s. Co-sponsored by the DeGolyer Library.

TOUR OF TEXAS PRESIDENTIAL LIBRARIES 

Join the Friends as we travel to Austin and College Station to tour the Texas Presidential Libraries. Itinerary will include tours of the LBJ Library and Museum, the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum and the UT libraries in addition to several other area attractions.

Presented by C. Michael Hawn, D.M.A., Professor of Church Music and Director of the Sacred Music Program at the Perkins School of Theology.

This evening of dinner and conversation is a fundraiser for the Friends of the SMU Libraries. Notable SMU and Dallas leaders facilitate the dinner discussions at each table. Guests indicate where they wish to sit when making reservations.
