LEAD: LEADERSHIP EDUCATION, ACTIVITIES AND DEVELOPMENT
Leadership Education, Activities and Development (LEAD) is a student run organization formed to aid students with their leadership development. This is accomplished through weekly meetings and activities as well as the four programs we host for both SMU students and the community:
  • The Crain Leadership Institute,
  • Emerging Leaders,
  • The John Ben Shepperd High School Leadership Forum,
  • Leadership Certificate Program,
  • LeaderSMUnited campus-wide leadership event, and
  • Co-Sponsor of the Leadership Certificate Program

We also award the Sameer Paroo Outstanding Male Leader Award and the Courtney Taylor Outstanding Female Leader Award to two college students for their achievements in the field of leadership.
