Research Services to the Business Community from SMU's Central University Libraries

Members of the IIS program represent all aspects of business in the Dallas area such as management, marketing, finance, public relations, manufacturing, and research. Corporate members are involved in a variety of industries such as electronics, computers, oil and gas, food, law, chemicals, aerospace, consulting, accounting, banking, insurance, architecture, public relations, market research, and many more.

Since its inception, IIS has provided Metroplex business firms with over 180,000 requested publications and over 4800 research reports to help them solve their business problems and take advantage of business opportunities. IIS is able to fill 75% of all information needed directly from sources within the SMU libraries and computer facilities. The other 25% have been delivered to our clients through our involvement with libraries and information centers in the United States and around the world.

IIS is designed to function as an in-house information center for those companies that do not have such a center, and to supplement the resources, services, and staffs for those companies that already provide such a center within the company. IIS uses the latest technology to provide the best information services available anywhere for the benefit of our clients. Services are easy to use and reasonable in price.
