“Even Today: Influence of the Holocaust on Literature
with Prof. Rick Halperin, Prof. Zsuzsanna Ozsvath,
&
Kathy Chapman

Thurs. May 29, 7 PM    Location: Center for Community Cooperation, 2900 Live Oak Street, in Dallas    FREE

Continue the discussion we started Feb. 10 about the morality of creating art from a tragedy as vast and far-implicating as the Holocaust or of the subsequent immorality of ignoring its existence altogether. Join us for this thoughtful, provocative talk led by some of the leaders in this field of study.

RICK HALPERIN, Ph.D., teaches History and Human Rights at Southern Methodist University and has worked extensively with the Center for Survivors of Torture in Dallas, and with other similar entities. Since 1996, he has been visiting, photographing, and videotaping Holocaust and other World War II sites across Europe and conducting oral history interviews with Holocaust survivors, World War II participants, and the descendants of both groups. He currently serves as the chair of the Amnesty International USA Board of Directors.
ZSUZSANNA OZSVATH
