(1) Would it be better if I
came in and personally handed my resume for the job that I am applying?
(2) Your online application does not
accept my degree or major.
(3) I am trying to apply for several
jobs on your website, but I am having trouble accessing the "View and Apply for
Career Opportunities" page.

I am a returning applicant and have forgotten my password.
(5) I have not previously registered
online but keep getting an error message that you already have record of my
email address.
(6) I have attempted to complete an
online application several
times and in the middle of the process
without any prompting the application disappears.
(7) Is it possible to make changes
to my online application once its been submitted?

I am unable to enter my degree type and
major under Education. I have attempted to enter my degree in the blank
field but receive the "invalid" prompt. Is
there a code I should be using in this field?

How do I view the jobs for which I have already submitted an online application?
(1) Our
preferred method of application is our online system. This makes your
resume submission instantly available for hiring managers to review. The hiring
managers along with a search committee review all the resumes that are received
for their job. If you are selected as one the applicants to be
interviewed, the department will contact you directly to set up a time.
(2) Please select something that closely matches your
degree. This information is used as a screening mechanism to ensure you meet the
minimum education requirements. Please be sure to list your degree in the resume
text box where you include your cover letter and resume.
(3) Please check the following settings on
your internet browser.(A) If you have pop up blockers, you will need to disable
them (B) If your security is set at high you will need to set it to low. (C) If
you have not recently cleaned out your cookies and temporary internet files,
please do so.
(4) Please keep in mind this field is
caps sensitive. If you do not remember your password,
click on
View and Apply for Career Opportunities. On the top left hand corner in corner,
click Log in help. You may enter your user name to reset your password. If you
do not remember your user name, enter your email address to retriever your user
name. Your new password
will be sent to the email you used to register.
Please retrieve the password from your e-mail and type it
in the password field. Once you have logged in, on the top right hand corner of
the Careers Home page locate the click MyProfile. Change your password to something you
will easily remember and click Save.

In order to avoid duplicates we enter e-mail addresses for resumes received by
mail, fax or hand delivered. We will need to delete your email address from the
system, this should allow you to register online. Please send us an email at
recruitu@smu.edu with a brief description of the problem.

Our system is designed to time you out after a long period of inactivity. Please
check the following settings on your internet browser (A) If you have pop up
blockers, you will need to disable them (B) If your security is set at high you
will need to set it to low (C) If you have not cleaned out your cookies and
temporary internet files, please do so.
(7) Unfortunately
you cannot make changes to a previously submitted resume. This is because
recruitment decisions may have already been made based on the original
information.

Please click on glass eye to look up the Degree. Please change selection in the
drop down box from Accomplishment to Description. Type in description (e.g.
Master, Bachelor), you must select a Degree from the list provided.

You will need log in. On the top right hand
corner of Careers Home Page, located the My Career Tools box. Click on My
Profile to change/update contact information. After you make the changes click
save. on
(10) You will need to log in. Click on View
Resume History, this will give you a list of your application date(s). Click on
the date to see the jobs you applied for on that date.
