The New Employee Orientation Process for FACULTY

To help a new employee through this process we provide a checklist of required steps with due dates.  You are encouraged to print this form and check off items as you complete them to ensure that you are taking advantage of all the benefits options available to you and that you will have completed the necessary steps to receive your financial compensation.

Before the first day of your employment as stated in your contract, all new Employees must come to the department of Human Resources to complete the New Faculty Paperwork.  Required first day forms are submitted as well as other documents the employee may not have completed and returned prior to this day.  New employees will then be directed to Park N Pony to obtain their SMU ID badge and parking stickers.

Preventing Sexual Harassment Tutorial

Maintaining a non-hostile work environment is everyone's responsibility.  SMU is committed to providing a workplace free of any form of harassment.  The University expressly prohibits harassment of its students, faculty or staff or of applicants who seek to join the University.  In keeping with this commitment, SMU has arranged for every employee to participate in an on-line tutorial titled "Preventing Sexual Harassment".  This program outlines the current law and the University's policies and procedures for reporting it.
