FREE HEALTH SCREENINGS AVAILABLE
FEBRUARY 26 - MARCH 6, 2008

SMU will be offering all benefit-eligible staff and faculty the opportunity to participate in a new wellness initiative designed to measure your overall health and provide you with an individualized report, at no cost to you. Participation is completely voluntary and all health-related information will be kept confidential.

 How you can participate:

 ·         Sign up for a convenient onsite health screening. This free and confidential blood screening will provide you with a good measure of your overall health, and will include tests for blood pressure, HDL/LDL/total cholesterol, triglycerides, and blood glucose, as well as measurements for height, weight, and waist circumference. Screenings begin the last week of February.

·         Complete a Confidential Health Risk Assessment. By completing a confidential Health Risk Assessment (HRA) at the screenings, you will receive an individualized report on your health risks and suggestions for improving your health. In addition, completion of this HRA qualifies you for a 20% discount on your 2009 Blue Cross Blue Shield deductible. Current Aetna members who change to BCBSTX plans in 2009 are eligible for the deductible discount. (High-deductible plans with a Health Savings Account are not eligible for the discount.) Earn 5 Wellpower Body credits as well!

Information on the February/March Health Screenings
