Compensation
An employee who is
terminated shall be paid for all hours worked through the date of
termination and for all accrued vacation leave consistent with policy.
In certain cases,
payment in lieu of notice may be considered and warranted by the
circumstances.
Payment of accrued
vacation may be denied under certain circumstances such as theft, fraud,
or other serious offenses against the University.
Final payment for
hours worked and/or other applicable compensation will normally be made on
the regular pay date for the pay period in which the termination occurs.
Any appropriate
deductions or payables due to SMU will be administered in the final paycheck.
