Annual Performance Reviews
Annual performance reviews are to be conducted for all regular (benefit eligible) staff members in the spring semester, January 2, 2008 - May 9, 2008.
Reviews should be completed and forwarded to the Retention Manager, Rebecca K. Sampson, PO Box 750232, Department of Human Resources no later than Friday, May 9, 2008. A number of divisions and schools require reviews be submitted internally before they are sent to Human Resources. Please inquire with your internal administration about earlier deadlines.
Your division or department has participated in a Management Development Partnership with the Department of Human Resources and will be utilizing the SMU Performance Review Tool.*
To assist with the review process, a web tutorial is available to managers and employees. We encourage supervisors to utilize the Manager Tutorial as a refresher or as a resource as they prepare to complete performance reviews with their staff members. We also suggest that managers encourage their staff members to utilize the Staff Member Tutorial in preparation for the review meeting. For your convenience, there is a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section available in the tutorial.
