Configuring Rules

By configuring a rule, you instruct Outlook to handle particular messages in a specified manner.  For example, messages sent from a specific address or containing certain words in the subject can automatically be moved to another folder. 

  1. Click the Rules icon on the left side of the Webmail screen
  2. Click New
  3. Type a name for the rule
  4. Fill in the appropriate criteria for the To, From or subject fields
  5. Specify the action.  If you select Move or Copy, you must also click on the word Specified and select the appropriate folder. 
  6. Click Save and Close
