Office 2008 for Macintosh
Office 2008 for Macintosh is now being deployed across campus for ITS Managed faculty and staff computers. This download is only available for ITS managed computers connected to the on campus network. Office 2008 does not introduce the number of interface changes recently encountered by Windows PC users and Office 2007. Therefore, training sessions will be offered but are not required before the upgrade.
How to obtain Office 2008 for your office machine
1. Contact the ITS Help Desk with your SMUID number and the ITS number of your machine (email help@smu.edu)
2. The Help Desk will assign permissions to your account allowing you access to the download site
3. You'll receive an email from the Help Desk with the instructions for downloading and installing the new Office Suite.
Copies for home use are available at the SMU Computer Corner for $10.
