Mailing Lists


SMU Mailing Lists are provided to facilitate communication among faculty, staff and students.  The mailing list software (Lyris List Manager) provides a number of configuration options, reports and features. If you have any questions about how the list should be setup or how to make changes to the configuration, please contact the ITS Help Desk.


Sending to a list and managing list settings and membership are available 24/7 from both on and off campus.


Any faculty or staff member may request a mailing list at any time. Student organizations may request a mailing list as well, although the request must be sent from the faculty or staff advisor of that group.  To request a mailing list, please use the form located at the Online Help Site.  There are a number of options you will be asked to specify regarding the list configuration.  If you are confused by the various choices, don't hesitate to contact the ITS Help Desk for general assistance.
