Alcohol 101 Plus

Alcohol
101 Plus was created by the University
of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign - in partnership with The Century Council -
to reduce the harm associated with the misuse of alcohol. The University is a
leader in the development of computer-based interactive educational tools and is
home to the National Center for Supercomputing Applications.
Using state-of-the-art technology, Alcohol 101 helps college students examine their attitudes about drinking, explore the consequences of excessive drinking and learn the techniques to maintain control and personal safety.
The original Alcohol 101 was demonstrated in Fall 1997 in selected institutions around the country - big, small, urban, rural, private, public - with special attention to fraternities, sororities, athletes and freshmen. Broad national distribution began Fall 1998. Alcohol 101 Plus was released Spring 2003.
