- June 3 (Tuesday) Last day for filing
an APPLICATION FOR CANDIDACY
File ACG form at the Office of Research & Graduate Studies, 336 Dallas
Hall. Pick up Thesis/Dissertation Guidelines handbook or check website
(www.smu.edu/graduate).
- July 7 (Monday) FIRST THESIS/DISSERTATION
CHECK
Bring the following items to the Office of Research and Graduate Studies
no later than 5:00 p.m.:
1. A copy of your thesis or dissertation
2. A Thesis Release Form, signed by your advisor (and School Examiner,
if in Engineering or Meadows)
3. A list of your committee members on the appropriate form (Dedman
students only)
* Along with a copy of your thesis, bring a Thesis Release Form, signed by your advisor, and a list of your Committee members (on the appropriate form) to the Office of research and Graduate Studies
no later than 5:00 pm. The form is used to document that a committee is in place. This is not the examination form.
- July 21 (Monday) SECOND THESIS/DISSERTATION
CHECK
Bring correction list from the first check and the first copy of the
thesis to the Office of Research and Graduate Studies by 5:00pm.
- July 31 (Thursday) LAST DAY FOR ORAL/WRITTEN
COMPREHENSIVE EXAMS
- July 31 (Thursday) FINAL THESIS/DISSERTATION
