Other leading states of origin for undergraduates, in descending order, are California, Florida, Georgia, Missouri, Louisiana, Illinois, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Alabama.
International Diversity – Enrollment includes 841 international students from 92 countries. The largest numbers of students are from India, China, Mexico, Panama, Korea, Guatemala, Canada, Japan, Turkey, and El Salvador.
Religious Preference – 66.6 percent of undergraduates and 42 percent of graduate students report a religious affiliation; 23.1 percent are Methodist, 22.9 percent are Catholic. Also represented are other Protestant affiliations and religions such as Judaism, Hinduism, and Islam.
Financial Assistance – 80.9 percent of new first-year students receive either need-based or merit-based financial assistance.
Scholarships – The most competitive merit-based scholar-ships include the President's Scholars Program, the Hunt Leadership Scholars Program, and a scholarship program for outstanding Dallas-area community college students.
