hands-on experience in a business, government or organizational
setting.

It is the mission of the Dedman College
Undergraduate
Internship Program to help students begin preparing
for employment.
The College designs credit-bearing internship opportunities that
demonstrate and reinforce the highly marketable skills that our
students acquire.

Internships
An internship course is now
available to juniors and seniors beginning with the spring 2001 semester. Students will
earn 3 credit hours working a minimum of 10 hours a week at a company or organization.
This spectacular opportunity provides students with experience in the environmental area
of their choice (e.g., assessment and remediation, conservation, environmental law), and a
chance to use classroom knowledge in real situations, all while earning course credit.
ES3322, Internship in Environmental Science.
Students work in a business or organization concerned with environmental issues.
Opportunities may be found in environmental law, assessment and remediation companies, or
among non-profit or governmental agencies. Prerequisites: Junior or senior standing.
