About Espejo

Espejo is the online version of a literary magazine established at SMU in the 1970s. Originally published semi-annually in hardcopy form, it disappeared after its last issue in Spring 2003. Interest in reestablishing a forum for SMU students to showcase their creative talents (as well as relentless "encouragement" via an avalanche of emails from our wonderful faculty advisor, Professor Smith) inspired the conception of the magazine in its present online form. It is maintained and contributed to by current SMU creative writers, photographers, musicians, artists, etc. Features include fiction, non-fiction, poetry, scripts, film, photography, music, art, and anything else we find interesting and thought provoking.
