Dr. Dennis Simon (Ph.D., Michigan State University) is the Altshuler Distinguished Teaching Professor in the Department of Political Science and a founding member of the John Goodwin Tower Center for Political Studies.  His teaching and research interests include the American Presidency, public opinion, and elections.  He and Barbara Palmer recently published Breaking the Political Glass Ceiling, a study of women and congressional elections from 1956 to 2004.  Dr. Simon teaches PLSC 1320: Introduction to American Government and Politics for TAG.
