Testing Overview

The minimum age requirement for testing is five (5) years or older. There is no maximum age limitation.

The full cognitive, processing, language, and achievement battery takes approximately 6-8 hours to complete. We recommend dividing testing over two or more sessions for young clients and clients who have attention disorders.

Although testing is primarily for dyslexia, the evaluation will also indicate a variety of other learning disabilities.

Approximately 10-15 days after testing is complete, clients (or parents) return to the Diagnostic Center for a follow-up conference. At the 1-2 hour conference, clients receive a full 10-15 page interpretive report and strategic recommendations for addressing reported areas of weakness.  For clients whose results indicate a specific or general learning disability, the diagnostician will also provide recommended strategies, classroom accommodations, and intervention information relative to the evaluation results.
