Dr. David Koch joined the faculty of the School of Education and Human Development in 2007 as a Lecturer in science education. Dr. Koch earned three degrees from Kent State University, including a Ph.D. in Science Curriculum and Instruction in 1972. Prior to completing his Ph.D., he earned a Certificate of Advanced Studies in science curriculum in 1970 as a National Science Foundation Fellow at Harvard University.
Dr. Koch taught physics and mathematics in high school classrooms for more than 40 years. He has served as an adjunct professor of physics and astronomy at Collin County Community College and worked at the Central Research Laboratories formerly owned by Texas Instruments.
