Nonprofit Leadership Certificate Program

Nonprofit Leadership Certificate Program

Together with the Center for Nonprofit Management, SMU offers a Nonprofit Leadership Certificate.

Today’s demands on nonprofit executive directors/CEOs reflect the challenges of our times, when the need for services often exceeds resources allocated to meet it. Offered unparalleled opportunities for spearheading societal change, agency heads still find themselves strained by “the nonprofit difference” and its unique set of expectations. The Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership draws from the best of current theories and practices in leadership, the Center for Nonprofit Management’s seasoned faculty, and expert resources steeped in nonprofit culture. The series provides the insights and skills needed to practice the art of leadership with greater deliberation, grace and impact.

Fall cohort begins September 12, 2008.

Information session: August, 21, 2008, 6pm. at the SMU main campus in Dallas.

What our students are saying

...it became obvious that what I needed was to enroll in the Nonprofit Leadership program offered by the Center in coordination with SMU.

Now, after several months of looking forward to the Friday sessions of the Nonprofit Leadership program, I find that my confidence has reemerged, somewhat stronger than before.  My principles, values, and strong ethics have been reinforced through the powerful use of experts that you selected as faculty.

I thank you and those involved in the organization of this program for the tremendous impact that you have made in my professional and personal life."

With gratitude,
Tessie Holloway, May, 2007 graduate
