
Dr. Kreisberg was an Assistant
Professor of Pathology
at Harvard Medical School before joining the faculty at
the University of Texas Health Science Center in San
Antonio (UTHSCSA) where he
was a Professor of
Pathology, Medicine, Surgery, Urology and Molecular
Medicine
for 26 years. He also served as Senior Career Scientist for the South Texas
Veteran’s Health Care System. He is a highly accomplished, nationally recognized
Principal Investigator with expertise in consistently acquiring significant
research grant support in the areas of diabetic nephropathy and prostate cancer.
Dr. Kreisberg’s leadership qualities are displayed by directing large research
laboratories and managing multi-million dollar budgets. He is a motivational
mentor, staff leader, and administrator with proven ability to commandeer vital
institutional committees and develop and maintain prosperous relationships
within the academic, business, and medical communities. Dr. Kreisberg is the
author of over 175 manuscripts, abstracts and book chapters and has given over
60 scientific presentations. Currently, Dr. Kreisberg is a member of the Medical
Advisory Committee of the National Kidney Foundation of North Texas. He has been
recently been nominated for Professor Emeritus status at UTHSCSA.
