
Dr. Myers earned her M.S. in Psychology at the University of Texas at Dallas and her Ph.D. in Counseling and Addictions at the University of North Texas in 2000. She has been in private psychotherapy practice, specializing in the treatment of difficult families, adolescents and general adult issues with addictive disorders, since 1997. She has taught as an Adjunct Instructor at North Texas and Amberton University and has served as Clinical Director or Program Director at many Treatment and Care centers around the area. Janell has been a presenter of National and International workshops on mental health topics for over 10 years. In addition to being an LPC and an LMFT, she is also licensed as a Chemical Dependency Counselor and a Master Addiction Counselor.
